I know it looks cold outside, but did you know the gardening year actually starts now?

For me, there is nothing more hopeful than opening a seed catalog in the dead of winter.

It’s a promise that spring is coming.

If one of your goals for the New Year is to grow more of your own food, the planning happens today.

You don't need 40 acres to start.

A windowsill, a backyard patch, or a few containers are enough to learn the skills of seed starting and preservation.
